Our maxi VPN routers are built with server PC components. The casings are stable 19" cases for rack set-up. With its low fit-in-height of 1he or 2he the maxi VPN router can be fitted into every server cabinet.
The router system is stored here as harddisc on a disc-on-chip. Because of the low need of resources of the VPN router system, thousands of VPN configurations and certificates can be stored and used on a maxi VPN router.
Optionally, a maxi VPN router can be equipped with a smartcard reader and hardware-cryptography.
The external network-interface can be operated with ipv43, ipv6, and ppoe. Therefore, the mini VPN router can operate on all common DSL-modems, DSL-routers, and Ethernet-interfaces. Of course, the network-interfaces can also operate with fibre cards.
The significant selection criterion for this VPN router is its typical netto data throughput. With ca 200 Mbit netto data throughput this maxi VPN router is highly qualified to be used as a central VPN gateway for the interconnection of locations and the connection of tele- workstations, external offices and mobile staff. Within Gigabit networks the hc-version of the maxi VPN router with ca 850 Mbit netto data throughput is recommended. Because of the integrated redundancy control by means of OSPF, this maxi VPN router is recommended there where in addition to the high performance a higher operational- and failure safety is necessary.
